Data Science for Science Teachers Boot Camp

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Data Science for Science Teachers Boot Camp is a free, intensive, research training course hosted at the NIH Bethesda, MD campus. This bootcamp is designed specifically for educators to learn data science techniques and to facilitate integration of this highly desired, cutting-edge skill set in their students' coursework. U.S. high school teachers, community college instructors, and tribal college faculty who teach STEM courses (including chemistry, biology, and physics) are encouraged to apply by April 1, 2020 for the July 6 - 10, 2020 bootcamp.

LabXchange: An Online Community for Learning, Sharing, and Collaboration

LabXchange is for educators, learners, and researchers to create and share customized learning pathways, design experiments, build learning networks and support global learning. Digital content is created, curated and delivered on a free online platform. Educators can also learn about upcoming virtual professional development workshops via a blog offered on the platform.

NHGRI 2020 Short Course in Genomics for Educators

Applications Due by March 19, 2020!

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is offering its annual NHGRI Short Course in Genomics from July 27 - July 30, 2020 on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The course offers middle school, high school, community college and Tribal College faculty the opportunity to hear lectures and receive teaching resources from leading NHGRI and NIH researchers, clinicians, and staff, and to discuss ways to incorporate genomics content into their classrooms. Applications are due by March 19.
