NHGRI's Louise M. Slaughter National DNA Day Lecture honors the late Congresswoman Louise M. Slaughter and her career dedicated to science and public service. It also honors her role in leading a group of legislators who passed concurrent resolutions creating DNA Day in 2003. This year's speaker was Dr. David Kong of MIT's Media Lab.
