The Genome Sciences Education Outreach at the University of Washington in Seattle has created two new complementary lesson plans for health and biology classes. Nutrition, homeostasis, and genetics are just some of the concepts presented. Additional resources are available. A great way to highlight Diabetes Awareness Month!

Short Informational Videos About Genomics from the National Human Genome Research Institute

The National Human Genome Research Institute has created interesting and informational short clips about relevant genomic topics for the public. Learn about the dog genome's role in human health and how the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act protects Americans from discrimination. These clips are a useful way to introduce specific genomic topics to the students.
