The "Genome: Unlocking  Life's Code" Exhibition will be in Redding, California at the Turtle Bay Exploration Park from September 21 through January 2, 2020.  If you live in the area or will be visiting California, plan your visit to see this phenomenal exhibit!

Take a moment to scroll through our new Henrietta Lacks Timeline. Learn about Henrietta's life and how her immortal cells created legacies that still touch our lives today. Coming soon - three new history and science lesson plans created by teachers and in collaboration with the National Human Genome Research Institute and Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture!  These lesson plans focus on a variety of topics interconnecting Henrietta's life and experiences and highlight the importance of the topics to our current understanding of science and society. Look for a special newsletter when the lesson plans are unveiled!

The National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science (NCCSTS) at the University of Buffalo promotes the nationwide application of active learning techniques to the teaching of science, emphasizing case studies, and problem-based learning. The National Association of Biology Teachers 2019 Professional Development Conference Registration is Open!

The National Association of Biology Teachers Professional Development Conference will be held from November 14 through November 17, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. The conference offers demos, hands-on activities, fieldtrips, special speakers, and a symposium. Regular registration ends on November 13, 2019.
