New National Human Genome Research Institute Spanish Resource on Polygenic Risk Scores
Polygenic risk scores are becoming more common in direct-to-consumer genetic tests and genomic medicine. The National Human Genome Research Institute, National Institutes of Health, has created a new resource in Spanish to better help the public understand this topic. The resource "Puntuaciones de Riesgo Poligénico" describes polygenic traits, introduces how polygenic risk scores can be calculated, and explains how such scores can be interpreted. An informative read for Spanish-speaking students, educators, and the general public.
