Engage your students and utilize X-STEM episodes available from the USA Science and Engineering Festival website as a classroom activity. NGSS and CASEL aligned lesson plans can be downloaded for free covering STEM topics including engineering, data science, sharks, the climate, space, and chemistry! The activities include a video recording and the corresponding lesson plan. A great way to excite students about STEM careers!

The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) DNA Day essay contest question is now available to students in grades 9-12 worldwide. Students are asked to examine, question, and reflect on important concepts in genetics. The first place student winner receives $1,000 and their teacher receives a $1,000 genetics material grant. The submission site is open now and winners and honorable mentions will be announced on DNA Day itself, Tuesday, April 25.
