Is There Enough Praise For What God Has Done?
Let's open with a word of prayer,
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before Your throne with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of another day. Thank You for watching over us through the night, for waking us up this morning, and for giving us the strength to rise, move, and begin a new day. If it were not for Your breath in our lungs, we would not have life.
Father, as we step into this day, we ask You to order our steps and lead us according to Your will. Direct us to those who need encouragement, comfort, kindness, or a blessing. You know every heart and every need, and because You care so deeply for Your children, we ask that You bless us so that we may be a blessing to others.
Lord, let praise continually be on our lips today. Turn our hearts and minds toward Your goodness and faithfulness. Though we may not have everything we desire, we thank You, Lord, for food, shelter, clothing, family, health, and Your daily provision. Even when life brings unexpected challenges, You have protected us, sustained us, and carried us through.
Father, let Your mercy continue to rest upon us. For those who are far from You, draw them near. Reveal Yourself through Your love, grace, and power, not to prove who You are, but because of Your great love and compassion for us. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust You to guide us, use us, and bless us this day. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
We should praise God because He is worthy of all honor, glory, and thanksgiving. He is our Creator, Sustainer, Savior, and faithful Provider who loves us unconditionally and guides us through every season of life. Praise acknowledges God's greatness, strengthens our faith, and reminds us of His goodness and faithfulness. Whether in times of joy or difficulty, praising God keeps our focus on Him and expresses our gratitude for all He has done and continues to do in our lives. The Bible says that if we don't praise Him, the rocks will cry out, “God has given us a King!” they exulted. “Long live the King! Let all heaven rejoice! Glory to God in the highest heavens!” But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Sir, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” He replied, “If they keep quiet, the stones along the road will burst into cheers!” (Luke 19:38-40 NLT). Do you really want a rock praising God in your place? I certainly don't! And, don't allow anyone or anything to keep you from giving God the praise He deserves. If you know that God is the One who has blessed you, sustained you, provided for your needs, and protected you along the way, then He is worthy of your praise. Regardless of what others think, say, or how it may look, lift your voice and praise Him. When you consider all that God has done, praising Him becomes a natural response to His goodness and faithfulness, so in everything, all of the time, praise God!! Amen!
If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I pray that as the Lord speaks to your heart today, you will hear and accept His invitation to come to Him. Jesus said, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Rev. 3:20 KJV).
