The Rental Housing Association has lobbied Alameda County for financial assistance for housing providers since March. We are pleased to let you know that the County has heard us.

Alameda County has made $5,000,000 in CARES Act funding available for rental assistance in the unincorporated parts of the County, but the money is only available through MONDAY. Approved households can receive past due rent of up to 9 months or up to $18,000, whichever is less. The money will be paid directly to you, the rental housing provider.

If you think your resident may be eligible, start this process right away before the money is gone!

The County and the program administrators, Centro Legal de la Raza, have encouraged housing providers to fill as much of the application out for their residents to minimize delays in funding the requests.
