High Profile Commission

Jerrell Gibbs ’20 (Hoffberger School of Painting BFA) painted the winning portrait of the late congressman Elijah E. Cummings to be displayed at the Baltimore Museum of Art December 22- January 9 before moving to its permanent home in the U.S. Capitol. Read more in the Washington Post.

Spky Frsh, co-founded by Richard Best ’14 (Design Leadership MA), Lucas ​​Madeira ’21 (UX Design MPS), and Florcy Morisset ’16 (Design Leadership MPS), aims to solve key social and functional problems within the $3 Billion NFT market by launching the first-ever social impact NFTs. Read more

Wade Zahares
Wade Zahares ’83 (Illustration & Fine Arts BFA)

Artist and children’s book illustrator Wade Zahares works out of his studio on his small farm in southern Maine. His work is sold through selected galleries throughout New England, is in many private and corporate collections, and is among the permanent collection at the Decordova Museum of Art in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
