Arpie Shekoyan Art
Arpie Shekoyan '21 (Business of Art & Design MPS)
Arpie is an LA-based artist who works primarily in craft materials and paint. Growing up as an Armenian-American, she began exploring narratives of women whose stories have been subdued or eradicated due to dispossession of land. Arpie continues to use craft and patterned paper in her 2-D works not only to allude to the Western art history's representation of the "Middle East", but to challenge the notion of gendered mediums. arpieshekoyanart.com
