Leaders from Regence and MultiCare will provide an overview and demonstration of the HL7 Davinci Project, which uses application programming interface to provide interoperable prior authorization process directly at the point of care. That model, coupled with a federal rulemaking from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced shortly before the start of the 2023 session, informed the evolution of HB 1357 to focus in part on facilitating the development of integrated prior authorization processes.
