to Parks in Each Council District

Public Invited to Attend (and Donate a Book!) at Unveilings

Launch: Tomorrow at Fort Marcy

October 26, 2021 -- Tomorrow the City of Santa Fe and Meow Wolf will unveil the first of four artist-designed “Little Libraries” where neighbors can take and return free books. They will be installed at public parks across Santa Fe.

Artist Sam Taccetta is the creator of the first installation, a custom-fabricated 1980s-style television that will inspire and delight passersby.

The unveiling will take place at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 27, at Fort Marcy Park (490 Bishops Lodge Road).

Among those expected to attend are: Councilor Signe Lindell, School Board President Kate Noble, SFPS Superintendent Hilario "Larry" Chavez, Meow Wolf's Danika Padilla, Artist Sam Taccetta, Acting Parks Director Melissa McDonald, and students from Tesuque Elementary School

Councilor Lindell had the idea to collaborate with Meow Wolf on this project. “Meow Wolf is an environment with creative minds, unbridled imagination and enthusiasm for community,” says Lindell. “I’m grateful for Meow Wolf to have such a commitment to the City of Santa Fe.”

“As a Certified B Corporation, Meow Wolf is constantly working to support our local communities,” says Danika Padilla, Sr. Director of Social Impact for Meow Wolf. “Together with the City of Santa Fe, Meow Wolf is proud to be bringing more art to our neighborhoods, and encouraging reading and literacy among our residents.”
