Greetings,
We've kicked off Homecoming week with a series of exciting events for current students, including a thrilling dodgeball match between students and faculty and staff, where the faculty and staff emerged triumphant. Additionally, students attended the women's volleyball match and Casino Night.
We look forward to the lineup of additional events scheduled for the rest of the week and throughout the weekend. And we’re especially excited to welcome back alumni who will be joining us to celebrate and to reminisce about their time here as they create new memories.
Strategic Plan Update
As you know from my continued updates, among our most important priorities is creating the strategic roadmap to our sustainable, vibrant future.
Today, I’m pleased to share the completion of this roadmap in our new 2023-2026 Strategic Plan, and the goals and objectives that stem from it.
Clarke’s foundress, Mary Frances Clarke, BVM, implored the educators she led to “Keep our schools progressive with the times in which we live in inventiveness and forethought.” Guided by these words, this plan represents the collective work of 23 dedicated people who spent the last seven months crafting a strategic plan focused on creating value, opportunity, and growth. This collaborative strategic planning committee (including faculty, staff, students, and a representative of the Board of Trustees) united in purpose to create a plan with the core of Clarke – our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader community – at the forefront.
Completion of this plan is paramount to our success, and it now drives the actions to realize these goals, which are in development as I write this update. Each goal has measures of success that will be continually tracked and reviewed by Clarke’s leadership and Trustees.
Rest assured, this plan will not sit idly on a shelf and does not belong to one person or group. It will undoubtedly transcend my time as president and is a living document that belongs collectively to our community – and collectively, we will be responsible for its implementation.
I look forward to joining all of you as we implement this plan to empower our students to thrive and keep our institution vital and efficient.
Sincerely,
Fletch
Interim President
