What Christmas means to me: Singing Christmas songs and decorating for the Holidays. Remembering the REASON for this SEASON and thanking GOD for all my blessings. Giving gifts and contributions to those less fortunate. Spending time with loved ones…family and friends. Missing my loved ones that aren’t here and reminiscing their memories. Eating too much and putting on a few pounds.

My favorite place to be during the holidays is: Surrounded by the laughter of the people I love. Watching old Christmas movies with my family. Reconnecting with old friends. Cuddled up by a warm fire drinking hot cocoa. Walking through the Plaza lights in Kansas City. Playing in the snow with my dog. Giving back to others. Being grateful for all that I have been blessed with.

My favorite memories of Christmas always center around my family - by blood and by choice. Whether it's past childhood Christmas Eve celebrations surrounded by my huge family listening to Johnny Mathis records and trying to be heard over the roar of laughter or our smaller more recent Holidays with my fabulous kids, husband, sister and a few close friends. Christmas will be always be about gathering with those you love...and Johnny Mathis, of course!

What Christmas is to Me: Being at home. Finding time to relax. Reflecting on what is really important. Being thankful for all the blessings I have. Connecting with the ones that mean the most. Spending time with family and friends. Having fun together and enjoying each others company. Seeing and experiencing the excitement of giving to others.
