Thank you for registering for Family Weekend 2021 at the University of South Carolina! We look forward to welcoming you -- alongside over 8,500 other participants -- to campus, Sept. 24-25. This email outlines general guidelines and tips to get you prepared to join us in just a few short weeks. We encourage you to pass this along to families/friends that you purchased packages for. 

  • We recognize that our schedule of events is full! This is a great opportunity for families to pick and choose what makes sense for your family and let your student showcase their home at Carolina.

  • As we navigate our first Family Weekend in a pandemic, please know that some things will take a little longer as we prioritize health and safety by following our COVID-19 guidelines. We ask that you bring patience, excitement, and the spirit of the Carolina community with you!

  • We will send you a detailed email one week prior to Family Weekend (including football game time) but wanted to get you started with a few tips to help you get ready for Family Weekend!

  • If you still have questions after checking out our website and parent app resources, please give our office a call at 1-800-868-6752 or email us at scparents@sc.edu.

Lastly, we ask that you bring a lot of patience and kindness to our community! As we know, across the nation we are seeing staffing and supply shortages. Our team is working hard to make this weekend happen. If you need assistance, just come find our staff and we will do our best to assist. We can't wait to see you in a few short weeks!

  • It provides quick and easy access to view the schedule of events, details, restaurants near campus, local religious services, tips for Gamecock Football, and so much more.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

  • Face coverings are required indoors in all campus buildings and on UofSC shuttles/transportation.
  • If you choose to utilize the UofSC shuttles for the Tailgate Party/football game, face coverings are required.
  • We encourage physical distancing when you are able.
  • Please consider wearing face coverings at outdoor events when in dense crowds
  •  Please monitor your own health prior to attending.
  • If you have COVID-19, have COVID-19 symptoms, or know you have been exposed to COVID-19 in the past two weeks, please do not attend Family Weekend 2021 events.
CHECK-IN

Families will be required to pick up their Family Weekend packets during the specific check-in times.

  • Thursday, Sept. 23 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Russell House Ballroom.
  • Friday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Russell House Ballroom.
  • Friday, Sept. 24 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Rock the Roost at the Wellness and Fitness Center.
  • Saturday, Sept. 25 (TBD—this will be shared once the game time is announced) – before and during the Tailgate Party located on the corner of National Guard and Bluff Roads by William Brice Stadium.
 
TIP for families – if you are unable to come Thursday or Friday for check-in at the Russell House Ballroom, we encourage you to send your UofSC student to pick up your packet. Simply tell your student to bring their Carolina Card with them to check-in. This will save you time once you arrive on campus and you can jump into the fun!
FOOTBALL TICKETS

Families will receive detailed instructions on how to access their Football tickets as they will be delivered digitally. Be sure to read the clear bag policy.

TIP – If you have not already, be sure to download the official South Carolina Gameday App and check this digital ticketing guide.
