Thank you for registering for Family Weekend 2022 at the University of South Carolina! We look forward to welcoming you -- alongside over 7,800 other participants -- to campus, Sept. 23-24. This email outlines general guidelines and tips to get you prepared to join us in just a few short weeks. We encourage you to pass this along to families/friends for whom you purchased wristbands/football tickets. 

• We recognize that our schedule of events is full! This is a great opportunity for families to pick and choose what makes sense for your family and let your student showcase their home at Carolina.

• We will send you a detailed email one week prior to Family Weekend (including football game time) but wanted to get you started with a few tips to help you get ready for Family Weekend!

• Our partners in Athletics are working hard to "clean up" our family weekend attendee list. This means your football tickets will be finalized in the coming weeks. You will receive football information directly from athletics, including instructions on how to access your digital football tickets. 

• If you still have questions after checking out our Family Weekend website and parent app resources, please give our office a call at 803-777-3008 or email us at scparents@sc.edu.

Lastly, we ask for your continued patience and kindness in the next few weeks as we prepare for another wonderful Family Weekend. Parent and Family Programs is excited to share that we have four student interns assisting with the behind the scenes efforts. CHECK-IN

Families will be required to pick up their Family Weekend packets during the specific check-in times.

• Thursday, Sept. 22 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Russell House Ballroom.
• Friday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Russell House Ballroom.
• Friday, Sept. 23 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rock the Roost at the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center.
• Saturday, Sept. 24 (TBD—this will be shared once the game time is announced) – before and during the Tailgate Party located on the corner of National Guard and Bluff Roads by Williams-Brice Stadium.

TIP for families – if you are unable to come Thursday or Friday for check-in at the Russell House Ballroom, we encourage you to send your UofSC student to pick up your packet. Simply tell your student to bring their Carolina Card with them to check-in. This will save you time once you arrive on campus and you can jump into the fun!

 FOOTBALL TICKETS

Families will receive detailed instructions on how to access their Football tickets as they will be delivered digitally approximately 1-2 weeks prior to gameday. Be sure to read the clear bag policy.

TIP – If you have not already, be sure to download the official South Carolina Gameday App and check this digital ticketing guide. 

CAN'T MAKE IT TO FAMILY WEEKEND? 

1. You have the option to transfer your wristbands to another family. We recommend you get in contact with a UofSC family that will be able to utilize them during Family Weekend. Our office will process any transfer request during the timeframe of Sept. 7-19 at 4 p.m. (EDT). You can utilize our UofSCParents Facebook page to connect with other families. 
2. Families are responsible for the exchange of money and transfer of football tickets through the Ticketmaster app. Parent and Family Programs is not responsible for football tickets or monetary transfers, we will only assist with the transfer of wristbands.
3. Send an email to scparents@sc.edu and carbon copy the person that is receiving the Family Weekend wristbands. Include the names of both parties and specifically what wristbands need to be transferred. Once you receive a confirmation, the new family will be able to pick up their wristbands from the check-in location (Russell House Ballroom).
