The final round of the 2022 Cross State Shootout at Yeamans Hall Club started out with crisps air and sunny skies. The Low Country Team hosted and provided the most gracious hospitality during the 2022 Cross State Shootout!
The Up Country Team was represented well by: Captain Hope Merager; Nicole Chin; Cecilia Fournil; Nicole Chin; Tiffany Catafygiotu; Chandler Case; Kayley Hammond; Nabila Ink; Co-Captain Meredith Taylor; and Dawn Woodard. The team was motivated, focused, and ready to face-off the Low Country for Round 2!
However, not even the crisp fall morning air over Hanahan could cool down the Up Country Team! The Low Country team members consisted of: Lea Anne Brown; Lee Burton; Paige Crafton; Mary Fran Blanchard; Carol Hammond; Co-Captain Jayne Pardus; Emily Rapp; Captain Kerry Rutan; Victoria Tsurutis; and Rachel Wyatt.
Both teams were draining putts, sticking approach shots, and a few of them even holed some shots from the fairways. The talent was high on both sides, but the Up Country Team was able to capitalizing on the 4-point lead from Round 1 and secure the title with a final score of 13 & 7.
WSCGA would like to thank the Team Captains, Co-Captains, players, Yeamans Hall Club, members, and staff for such a memorable two-day event. Mark your calendar and come out and support the 2023 Cross State Shootout as the Up Country Team prepares to host and defend their title!
