Nature and the outdoors have inspired countless people, provoking deep thought, strong friendships, and a rooted bond with earth. Artists find their inspiration in the animal kingdom, stunning landscapes, and the beauty that is all around us.

Read on to learn about Wide Open Spaces, an art competition show that opens on June 4, plus some brand new workshops including an intergenerational family class that is suitable for children and their parents 5 years and up. We are thankful to Teresa Steinbach Garcia who judged this month's Wide Open Spaces art show. Working in both graphic design and fine arts, Garcia is a working artist in Wilton California, and is a graduate of UC Davis in the school of design.

We will announce winners of 1st, 2nd, and Best of Show during the First Saturday opening reception on June 4 from 4-7PM at the Center. We look forward to seeing you there!

Register For Upcoming Art Classes

Fill your summer with art, in new classes at the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center. We've got something for everyone including young children! Find your passion in watercolor or cultural doll making this summer.

Culture Doll Making is brand new to the Center, and is a class suitable for children 5+ when accompanied by an adult. You and up to two of your kids can learn how to design and construct a Cultural Doll, showing diversity and variety of traditional clothing on a bottle form.


Registration is OPEN for ART TOUR

The Annual Art Tour allows us to showcase many of the talented artists in our community, present them with an opportunity to sell their works, and offer art lovers a chance to meet the artists in an informal setting.
