Pyrography is the old art of “drawing with fire” and when you do so on wood, it’s called wood burning. Come try it out!
In this workshop for teens try out pyrography, or woodburning, by using heated metal pens to doodle on lasercut wooden shapes! Come with ideas of what to draw or trace from graphics provided. Go home with decorated wooden coasters, keychains, bookmarks, and/or ornaments.

In this workshop by glass artist Stephanie Racine, you will learn to copper foil and solder your own stained glass plant propagation hanger!
With pre-cut glass pieces, you will use copper foil, flux, solder, and wire to create your one-of-a-kind piece to take home at the end of the class.

On view this May and June, the exhibition Jamie Gibbons: Reduce, Rethink, Re-Wild takes recycling to a micro level. In 16 mini oil paintings on reclaimed wood, Wakefield painter Jamie Gibbons is thinking small about big ideas, using wood scraps that would have been discarded to reframe perspectives on the great outdoors right in our neighborhoods.
