Matching grants available; submit intent to apply by January 5
The CTC's 8th SBIR Advance Cohort will be starting in February, 2017, with an application deadline of January 5th, 2017.  The applicants must be ready to begin the Lean Startup Program February 9th.
 
This program offers up to $75,000 to companies who have already been awarded a Phase I or Phase II SBIR/STTR.

Coating and Lamination
in Packaging Applications
January 19-20

This course is designed for those working in paper converting, coating, printing and flexible packaging. Participants receive eight hours of classroom instruction, four hours of hands-on experience on state-of-the-art equipment, lunch and break refreshments both days. The instructor is Dr. Roland Gong, assistant professor of paper science and engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Hands-on Papermaking
January 26-27

This two-day class features morning classroom sessions followed by afternoon sessions of guided exercises operating the Fourdrinier pilot paper machine. This combination has proven to be a highly effective and enjoyable way to gain fundamental knowledge of the commercial papermaking process. With class size always limited to 16 participants, there is ample opportunity for questions and discussion during classroom sessions and hands-on opportunity on the paper machine. Instructor Dr. Gerry Ring is professor emeritus of paper science and engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
