These Large Buffalo Robes are great for tipis, bedrolls and rugs and are tanned the same soft tanning as our No. 1 hides. They have 4 or 5 small skinning cuts around the edge but these are not too noticeable due to the thick hair covering most of them. Generally they do not have tails, but they do have nice winter fur and tanned here in the US, so they are a great value! Jim Hallum - Santee Sioux
|

Jim Hallum is a member of the Santee Sioux Nation who lives on the Santee reservation in Northeast Nebraska. He works for the Nebraska Indian Community College which serves the Santee Sioux Nation, the Omaha Nation, and the Siouxland area. He does Tribal extension work which consists of anything cultural, educational or dealing with healthy lifestyles. This work has included everything from having buffalo kills to diabetes prevention; cooking, preserving workshops, healthy lifestyle runs and competitions and sponsoring beading and star quilt classes. In 2014, instead of welcoming in the year with alcohol, the Nebraska Indian Community College extension director, Jim Hallum, created the Omaka Teca Wacipi New Years Eve Sobriety Pow Wow to provide participants an alternative to all the partying and heavy drinking at other events.
