Veterans Day Program

Join us on Tuesday, November 7, for a Veterans Day Celebration honoring those who serve our country through military service. Hear from Peter Guerdan '01 about his role with US Army special forces. Alumni, friends, and family are invited for the brief program and reception in the Gibbons Library. Learn more and RSVP.

Alumni Memorial Mass

We invite you to share the names of loved ones you wish to remember during Mass throughout November. Alumni are invited to attend the Alumni Memorial Mass on Friday, November 8, at 7:30 a.m. in Queen of All Saints Chapel. Alumni can attend any Mass in the Chapel. The weekly schedule can be found on the Gibbons website. Submit special prayer intentions.

Cross Country Champions

The Women's Cross Country team secured the conference championship, with Hannah Rae Shaffer '25 earning Runner of the Year honors. Head Coach Nick Mangum '99 was named coach of the year. View All Conference teams.

Gibbons Digital Drive

Gibbons students participated in a drive designed to bridge the digital divide in our community and beyond. During the event, organized by the NC TECH Association and Kramden Institute, students dropped off laptops, projectors, and networking equipment that will be refurbished or recycled. The drive will provide technology access to individuals and families in need, including many in Western NC. Read more.

Vocal Music Hosts Women's Festival

The Vocal Music program hosted its inaugural Women's Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, welcoming students from seven schools across the Triangle area. The event featured 55 young vocalists in grades 6-12.

Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations

The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame is Sunday, November 10, at midnight. Nominees can be Gibbons athletics program volunteers, past (not current) coaches or athletic administrators, and alums who graduated 10+ years ago. Submit your nominations.

Alumni Lacrosse

Join Coach Mike Curatolo and fellow alumni for the annual Thanksgiving Alumni Lacrosse game on Saturday, November 30, in the Gibbons Stadium. Check-in is at 1:30 p.m. The game will take place from 2-4 p.m. Equipment is available if needed. Contact Mike Curatolo to register.

Silent Night Tailgate

Join us on Tuesday, December 10, for an indoor tailgate, basketball games, pictures with Santa, and more. JV teams kick off at 3:30 p.m. The varsity game starts around 6:00 p.m. No RSVP is needed; you can buy your game ticket at the door. Visit the Alumni Tailgate for cookie decorating and snacks!

Toddler Takeover the Gym

The annual Alumni Family playdate, where alums gather for coffee and conversation while Student Council volunteers host games and crafts for their kids, will take place on Saturday, January 11. Registration will open in December.

Alumni-Educator Christmas Lunch

This year's Alumni-Educator Christmas Lunch will take place on Thursday, December 19, following midterm exams at Gibbons. Don't miss this fun gathering of alumni and educators. Registration is open!

Homecoming 2024

Gibbons Alums enjoyed a tailgate buffet followed by the Homecoming football game against Athens Drive on October 4. The gathering took place under the Western Blvd. Pavilion, once the Fr. Price Gym, is now lovingly restored as a campus location for alumni events. Check out the photo album.
