Join local Professional Chocolatier, Denise Steele, owner of Lohcally Artisan Chocolates as we sample award winning chocolates produced by Craft Bean-to-Bar makers from around the country.

We will use sensory analysis to explore the "terroir" of 10 different chocolates and build our chocolate palates to discover a variety of fine chocolate flavor profiles.

Milk, Dark, White, Dark Milk - We will experience a variety of chocolate types as well as sources of origin from around the world. Just like fine wines, beers and bourbons, chocolate tasting develops your sensory know-how when selecting fine chocolate. You may even find your new favorite chocolate maker!

We will have fun as a group describing the unique taste and appeal of your favorite chocolates. All tasting kits will include our latest 3-pack truffle gift box for your enjoyment! Cost is $25/per tasting kit.

CMA's Women in Medicine Book Group Discussion
March 8th from 7-8pm

Based on strong recommendations by several CMA members, please join your local colleagues for an engaging discussion on the book WOLFPACK, by Abby Wambach.

"Based on her inspiring, viral 2018 commencement speech to Barnard College’s graduates in New York City, New York Times bestselling author, two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA World Cup champion Abby Wambach delivers her empowering rally cry for women to unleash their individual power, unite with their pack, and emerge victorious together. In Wolfpack, Abby’s message to women is: We have never been Little Red Riding Hood. We Are the Wolves. We must wander off the path and blaze a new one: together."

The need for medical students or those in training to connect and learn from experienced physicians is invaluable. And for mentors, the relationship is often described as a 'win-win'.

The CMA's Women in Medicine Committee has met and discussed a Mentorship Program developed to assist women in training to become physicians or currently in residency. The intention is to provide an informal mentor/mentee relationship that would involve approximately a monthly call/virtual meeting or in-person meeting.
