Rudeen’s career has included conflict resolution and facilitation of planning among people working in healthcare, education, human services and law enforcement. From teaching workshops nationally to mediating with parents in Family Court, whether it’s a community group saving open space or Air Force leadership seeking to resolve workplace conflicts, Rudeen has found that conflict resolution skills can help everyone be more effective in their role as parents, workers, and community members.

Workplace Conflict: Causes and the Role of the Supervisor in Conflict Resolution

In this two-hour session, participants will review human development in the workplace and the role of the supervisor in resolving conflict.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Identify four stages of human development as applied to the workplace
  • Assess possible causes of conflict in a workplace
  • Ask questions without making assumptions that may increase conflict
  • Apply Karpman’s Drama Triangle to analysis of a workplace conflict

Workplace Conflict: Coaching Steps for Resolving Workplace Conflicts

Wednesday, 5:30-7:30pm PDT | Live Interactive Workshop on Zoom



In this two-hour session, participants will practice the steps of conflict coaching for use by supervisors and/or internal/external consultants.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Define positions and interests
  • Recognize one's own reactions to conflict in order to control those reactions
  • Use listening skills to draw out interests while avoiding common traps
  • Ask questions to promote problem solving
