Large Business of the Year Winner Spotlight!

Flannery Construction is not only a business located in the Midway, but also one doing several projects in the neighborhood. Currently, there are three Flannery projects along University Avenue with many past Midway projects including the current Peking Garden/Hmong American Partnership building, Model Cities, Springboard, Saint Paul Police Western District, American National Bank, Element Gym, and the Flannery Construction headquarters.

Founded in 1980, over 90% of Flannery’s work is from repeat customers and referrals- a testament to their work, relationships and reputation.

Their buildings help give our neighborhood its look and feel and house many businesses and nonprofits. One of its current projects is the new Keystone building, a nonprofit with a long history of supporting those in need. Buildings created by Flannery will be a part of the Midway for generations.

Robert Vischer has a storied tenure at St. Thomas. He served as dean of the university’s law school from 2013-22, rising through its ranks from when he started as associate professor of law in 2005.

Thursday, May 4, 2023 5:30 p.m. at Wilder Foundation

Your partnership is needed to celebrate the resilience of people and families served by Wilder. Ordinary Magic is Wilder’s annual fundraiser that raises critical funds to fuel our mission. As a sponsor of Ordinary Magic, you will stand alongside Wilder in our work to improve lives through direct service, research and community building. The generosity of sponsors and individual donors helps provide a springboard out of poverty for families in our community. Sponsorship levels start at $1,000 for a Table Host, with great publicity and visibility benefits! Donated items such as restaurant gift cards and professional services are also needed for our live and silent auction. For more information on sponsoring, donating or attending, please contact Ellen Cleary at ellen.cleary@wilder.org or visit www.wilder.org/magic
