Dear Assumption Faculty and Staff,
While Fallon Health, the University’s health insurance provider, is transitioning away from commercial health insurance to government healthcare programs, rest assured that your Fallon coverage will continue through, at a minimum, the end of August, or longer. Fallon has extended to the University the option to extend health insurance for employees up to a year as we explore other health insurance options.
As it does each year at this time, the University is working with a health insurance broker to explore alternate health insurance plans that offer the same level of coverage. Of equal importance is a health insurance provider who can provide similar coverage at an affordable cost. Please know that the University is committed to the employer-sponsored health care benefit.
As additional information becomes available, the Office of Human Resources will share details with employees.
