The NYPD has issued a warning about a new jewelry scam targeting older adults. Please beware of individuals approaching you, likely from a vehicle, and asking for cash, to pray with you, or say they're celebrating a birthday. They may try to swap your real jewelry with fake jewelry. Stay safe and report any suspicious incident to NYPD even if they didn't take anything.

Social Services is a fundamental part of what the Carter Burden Network offers. Our delivery of social services means connecting you to resources by drawing upon our understanding of how benefits work, and how to make them work for you. CBN offers assistance to help address your concerns individually, confidentially and effectively.
Our Social Service Unit helps with issues that include government benefits, transitional healthcare, advocacy and referrals for meals, older adult center programming, caregiver support services and much more. CBN’s Elder Mistreatment & Abuse Prevention Program helps ensure that you can live with the confidence and protection you deserve.
