Exhibition: Contraptions

January 4-25, 9:00am-5:00pm- FREE
Asheville artist Kathryn B. Phillips has always challenged her surroundings. Her art mimics her life: by letting go of others’ expectations, as well as her own, Phillips has found harmony in the constant struggle to nurture freedom while still respecting the boundaries of good design. Her latest work will be featured in Contraptions in the Milliken Art Gallery.
The exhibition is located in the Milliken Art Gallery and is free of charge. Gallery hours are Sunday, 2:00-5:00pm, Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. The Gallery is closed during school holidays.

Guest Recital: Ryan Fogg, piano

January 23 at 7:30pm-9:00pm- FREE
Dr. Fogg will present a solo recital featuring selected impressionistic and neoclassical works of Debussy and Ravel. This event is free and open to the public.

Gallery Talk & Reception: The Trapps

On February 1 at 6:00pm, Casey Engel will present a Gallery Talk discussing The Trapps and her art process. The talk will be followed by a reception from 6:30- 8:00pm.
The exhibition is located in the Milliken Art Gallery and is free of charge. Gallery hours are Sunday 2:00-5:00pm, Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. The Gallery is closed during school holidays.

Spartanburg Philharmonic Youth Orchestra – Winter 2024 Concert

February 4 at 3:00pm
The Spartanburg Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is where talented young musicians expand their symphonic knowledge and participate in high quality performances with dynamic conductors.
The Symphony ensemble serves all musicians in grades 8-12 and the Prelude ensemble is open to string students grades 6-9. Support the future of Spartanburg’s musical legacy with a subscription to all three of this season’s exciting concerts.
There is an elevator to the main floor of Twichell Auditorium; there is no elevator to the balconies.
