Fun Fact
Did you know...

... that if Ostfriesland , or " East Frisia were a country its annual per capita consumption of 300 liters [of tea] would be the highest in the world?" Most people know about Germans and their love for coffee, from Kaffee & Kuchen to Kaffeeklatsch, but few know about the Northern Germany cultural tradition of tea consumption. The East Frisians, influenced by their Dutch and English neighbors, have cultivated a tea culture for centuries, with the East Frisian tea ceremony even making it onto UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2016.
