RITA'S CELEBRITY SCOOP| MAY 15

Join our Celebrity Scoop Teachers and enjoy a delicious Rita's Water ice for the whole family! Teachers will be signing up for slots to take orders and have a chat! We hope you can join us at Rita's of Chalfont on 5/15 beginning at 5:00 PM!

NEW VOLUNTEER SYSTEM & CLEARANCE PROCESS | MAY 16

Currently parent volunteers upload their clearances into a system called App Garden, and it has been discontinued by the provider. There is a new system called Raptor where you will need to upload your clearances.

You may retrieve your clearances from App Garden through May 16 to upload into Raptor - click HERE for instructions.

Volunteers must create a Raptor account to volunteer after this school year. All required documents must be uploaded with the Raptor application – revisions cannot be made once the application is submitted. Detailed information is available HERE.

BUTLER FAMILY DIRECTORY RELEASED

The 2024-25 Butler Family Directory is live online here! This is a password protected document. The password will be emailed to all parents separately. Simply enter the password and then click "Read Only" to download and open the document.

If you did not enter your Directory information, please fill in your information here so it can be included in our next updated version.

TEACHER AND STAFF FAVORITE THINGS LIST

Parents are often interested in knowing what teachers and staff members like or enjoy. View a list here of our staff members favorite things. This is a good reference for gifts as well as every day little surprises!

This list includes teachers, administrators, custodial staff, support staff, specialists and itinerants. This is completely voluntary and will remain open all year if you are looking for the inside scoop.

CONTRIBUTE TO HELP SUPPORT PTO PROGRAMS & EVENTS

PTO events and activities would not be available without our volunteers and the financial contribution by the Butler families. In support of our efforts, we are asking for a $15 contribution per household (Butler Family) as the means to offset the expenses for organizing and holding the events.

For those who wish, you can sponsor another Butler family’s $15 contribution. Payment is preferred through MyPaymentsPlus or submit a check with this form.

*Please check with your company to see if they offer a “Donor Match” program.

**Please note: You must have your volunteer clearances completed prior to signing up for lunch duty. All volunteer opportunities are subject to change based on District guidelines. We ask that you please refrain from cell phone usage during your volunteer shift. Unfortunately, younger siblings are no longer permitted to accompany volunteers.

MY PAYMENTS PLUS VS. MY SCHOOL BUCKS

My Payments Plus is a free, secured, online account which allows you to pay for student fees, field trips, PTO events, summer classes, etc. This is used district-wide, so we encourage all families to register for an account. To sign up, simply visit: MyPaymentsPlus.com and click on “Register a Free Account.” You will need your child's student identification number to set up the account, which can be found in the parent portal.

My School Bucks is a free, secured online account which allows you to pay for school meals. It allows you to have a digital option for lunches (no cards – the cafeteria staff look up the child’s name at the register) as well as see what items your child is purchasing in the cafeteria. To access My School Bucks, please visit MySchoolBucks.com. You will need your child's student identification number to set up the account, which can be found in the parent portal.

BUTLER ONLINE APPAREL STORE

The Butler Bears Apparel Store is now open online! This online store will be open year-round and orders may be placed at any time and ship right to your home. Choose from more than 100 items of various colors and designs for the entire family! Questions? Contact Amy.

YOU MUST HAVE CLEARANCES TO VOLUNTEER

In order to volunteer in the classroom, you must have current volunteer clearances through CBSD. Questions? Contact Michelle Droxler.

The process is EASY and all done online using the Volunteer Tracker App. Every CB volunteer will need to register and upload their clearances.

Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children obtain background checks and clearances. Click here for the required clearances, along with links to the state’s websites.
