Tan Sri Datuk (Dr.) Rafiah Binti Salim is the Chairman of Allianz Malaysia Berhad, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad and Chairman of Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Berhad. Other Directorships include Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad, Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Berhad and Minda Global Berhad.

Tan Sri Datuk Rafiah holds a Masters and a Bachelors degree in Law from Queen’s University, Belfast, United Kingdom and was awarded an honorary Doctorate in 2002. In 1988, she was called to the Malaysian Bar.

Why should you join?
This unique program aims to encourage and prepare talented women executives for board service. It lays the ground work for future placements on the board of directors for public and private companies. The content of this programme is designed with a woman director in mind – harnessing her natural female talents, identifying gender barriers and setting the expectations for board work.

  • Senior businesswomen in established companies ranging from division head to CEO or those who are retired from such positions
  • Women in senior executive roles who currently sit on nonprofit or private boards who wish to serve on public corporate boards in any industry
  • Established women entrepreneurs seeking to improve corporate governance in their own company boards and preparing to serve on public corporate boards

Devanesan Evanson is a qualified Accountant (FCCA), a Chartered Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and is a fellow member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (FIIAM).

Devanesan sits on the Board of AKPK (Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit) as an Independent Director and is the Chairman of the Audit Committee. He was the President of the ACCA Advisory Committee and the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia as well as held the position of a Council Member for the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. 
Devanesan retired from Bursa Malaysia in 2010 after serving for 18 years. He started his career at Bursa Malaysia as Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management and continued on to become the Chief Regulatory Officer and the Chief Market Operations Officer.

Who should sign up?
This membership is open to individuals who meet any one of the criteria:
  • Currently serving on a private, non-profit or public listed board
  • Have served on a private, non-profit or public listed board
  • Have leadership experience at C-level, partner or director level and have completed a related Director Readiness Programme
  • An established entrepreneur with a turnover of minimum RM 1 million
