No matter where you are in the journey of family caregiving – just beginning to anticipate a need, helping to coordinate a big move, or taking care of a family member full-time – having a good framework to help guide both you and your loved one will make the process easier. During this one-hour session, AARP will share a framework to help you make plans to care for friends, family members, or loved ones. You will have the opportunity to connect with other family caregivers, exchange tips and advice, and learn about resources available to you and your loved ones.

At the meeting - whether in-person or virtually - you will have a chance to meet your Supervisor and County, state and federal leaders. As well as, have your questions answered, learn about issues important to you and connect with County agencies and community service providers in our very popular Exhibit Hall (in-person only). The highlight of the morning will be taking a “virtual tour” of all that is happening in the District with your “pilot” Supervisor Storck. Again this year, we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation, taking all CDC recommended safeguards, and will adjust our format as needed.

COVID - 19
New COVID-19 Testing Options Now Available; Order At-Home Tests by Mail 

Free at-home COVID-19 tests are now available by ordering them online through a
federal government website. In addition, individuals who purchase tests commercially (at a store or online) may also submit receipts for reimbursement through their private insurance plans starting Saturday, Jan. 22. Private health insurers are now required to cover up to eight at-home tests per month. Contact your insurance company to learn more.

Virginia Department of Health Opens COVID-19 Community Testing Center

Free Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing are available by appointment for COVID-19. The site, set up in a large tent, will be in parking lot B of the Fairfax County Government Center. Parking lot B is located on the southwest corner of the Government Center complex. Learn more...

Free High-Quality N95 Masks

A White House official has announced the Biden Administration will make 400 million N95 masks available for free at thousands of locations across the country as health experts stress the importance of high-quality face coverings to protect against the omicron variant of the coronavirus.
