The Johnson County Christmas Bureau is thrilled to announce our 65th Anniversary Gala – a night of celebration, elegance, and all that jazz! Join us as we honor 65 years of service and community impact with an evening filled with live music, fine dining, and exciting auctions.

Calling All Heroes of the Closet! 👟👗🧥

We’re gearing up for an exciting season in the Children & Teens Clothing Department — and we need you!

We're currently looking for a passionate, organized volunteer to lead or co-chair this department. If you’ve got a heart for kids and a knack for making things happen, this is your chance to shine!

And while you're at it… let’s fill those racks! We’re collecting NEW clothing items for newborns through age 18. Think school clothes, dress clothes, playwear, shoes, and boots — anything that will help a child feel confident and cared for.

Whether you want to step up as a leader or donate new items, your help makes a huge difference. Together, we can bring smiles (and style!) to so many young lives.

Festival of Trees: Event Chair Needed

The FOT (Festival of Trees) Charity Auction is a festive fundraising event held annually each November in conjunction with the Holiday Boutique at the Overland Park Convention Center. This special event supports our mission through the generosity of attendees, donors, and community partners.

Event Chair Responsibilities

Oversee key functional areas including:

• Volunteers – Recruit and coordinate volunteers. Scheduling and coordinating shifts for event support.
• Marketing – Promoting the event and auction through various channels, such as social media.
• Soliciting – Acquiring donations for auction items.
• Coat and Package Check Volunteers and Managing logistics for attendees.
• On-site Event Lead – Ensuring smooth execution the day(s) of the event.

Communicate with Design Team:

• A dedicated group with previous event experience is available to assist fundraising efforts.

Resources Available:

Seasoned staff and event team will train and work with the Event Chair. A event notebook offers valuable insights, checklists, contacts, and lessons learned to ensure continuity and success for our second largest fundraiser for JCCB.
