20th Annual Anti-Violence Day, Ongoing project of the Anti-Violence Campaign. The International Health & Epidemiology Research Center (IHERC) will be hosting its 20th Annual ANTI-VIOLENCE DAY (PEACE DAY) with the goal of violence-prevention and intervention. At this event, after being educated about the hazards of real and toy guns, and violence in general, children will turn in their toy weapons and violent video games for a certificate and reward. The collected weapons will then be used by the children, themselves, to create works of art. Kathy Moghimi-Patterson has served the community of Encino as the Representative At Large on the board of Encino Neighborhood Council since 2010. She lives and owns property in Encino. She is running for the third term to protect and advocate the community interests. As an advocate and representative, she has attended various City and State meetings and hearings and worked with the officials for betterment of our community. Kathy has a Doctorate degree in Law and worked in the legal field for the past 19 years. - You have tried to reduce or control your betting without success
- Do you bet when depressed or anxious or lonely
- When you lose capital after betting do you try to win it back
- You have been dishonest about how much money or time is spent on it
- Is your marriage or relationships or suffering because of betting
- You have trouble paying bills because of gambling or have ever needed a loan.
The therapy is funded from the Native American Tribal Casinos and is administered by both the California Office on Problem Wagering  and UCLA. There is no charge at all for these 8 session which would normally be valued at 1,200 dollars. The program is also completely confidential. Dr. Geffner is a California State Licensed Clinical Psychologist who graduated from UCLA and Northwestern University in Chicago . He also treats general Psychological issues and has been working as a Psychologist in private practice since 1996. The event will take place within the annual "Seezdah-Bedar" festival in Irvine, which is attended by over 30, 000 people, to celebrate the thirteenth day of the Persian New Year (Nowrouz). This holiday is widely celebrated around the world by Iranians as a day of peace, as they picnic outdoors and hope for a new year of health and happiness. Everyone, from all walks of life, is more than welcome and invited!
