In advance of Scotland’s next census in March 2022, the team behind the census is holding a number of online information sessions. The 2022 census will be a digital first census and they want to encourage as many households in Scotland as possible to complete it online. Organisations who support a wide range of groups are being encouraged to sign up to one or more of the online events, to hear about how the census will be delivered and how you can help get messages and support out to ensure that everyone can take part in the census and be counted.

Wednesday 23 February

The short programme is open to creative and community practitioners from Caithness who want to develop their skills in this field. You may be an artist who is interested in learning how to deliver socially-engaged projects, or a community support worker who would like to explore how you can bring arts and creativity into your role. This session will last approximately 2.5 hours and include sharings from CAIR artists and guest speakers, as well as practical work and group discussion. Ideally participants will attend all three sessions. The sessions will be held online via zoom.

Social Enterprise in Scotland Census 2021
Every two years the Social Enterprise in Scotland Census reports on the scale, reach and contribution of social enterprise activity across the country as well as the characteristics, prospects and needs of the organisations behind it.

The 2021 census survey is live and we are looking for enterprises who have social or environmental goals and who generate income through contracts or fees of any kind, to participate.

Funded by the Scottish Government, this official study helps inform policy and funding, and shows the impact of the sector locally and nationally.
