Dear Christ Covenant Family,

We hope this finds you and your family doing well. We wanted to provide some important information and dates regarding our life together as a church family.
Guidance from Governor Cooper
On Wednesday, August 5 Governor Roy Cooper announced that we would remain in our current phase 2 status for another 5 weeks which lasts until Friday, September 11. Therefore, our current worship and on-campus event planning will continue as before except that we are increasing the capacity in the worship center from 450 to 500, because our experience suggests we can do so safely. Please sign up online at christcovenant.org/regather when you want to attend in-person worship. This is a safety measure we have put in place to help provide the safest environment possible for worship while socially distancing.
Sunday, August 9
On Sunday, August 9 we’re planning a special Lord’s Supper service at 3:00 pm in the afternoon for those in our church who are “high risk” to Covid, have other underlying conditions, or are hesitant about attending large gatherings. This service is limited to 100 people. We will require masks of those who attend and will practice widespread social distancing throughout the sanctuary. We ask that you sign up to let us know if you plan to attend either by clicking here to sign up, or contact Jenny Blackmon at 704-708-6104 or by email at jblackmon@christcovenant.org.
Sunday, August 16
We believe many of you want to attend morning worship on Sunday, August 16 to participate in our congregational meeting. Please sign up online if you plan to attend in-person so that we can all help provide the safest environment for worship as possible, and remember  to bring your own pen to fill out the ballot.
Remember the 3 W's
Our commitment to a rigorous program of best practice safety measures on campus includes emphasizing the 3 w’s of wearing masks, waiting 6 feet apart, and washing hands.

Please remember that if you attend in-person worship, we are asking you to wear a mask. If you choose to not wear a mask, we are asking you to sit in a designated section in the worship center that is located in the back right side on the lower level.

We all look forward to the day when we can gather without masks and without sign ups, but for now we need your help keeping each other as safe as possible by following these recommendations.
In Christ,

Tom Groelsema, Executive Pastor
Sandy Spitz, Senior Director of Church Administration
