Citizens Needed for the TPO’s Citizens Advisory Committee
The North Florida TPO Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) plays a vital role in providing the citizen perspective to our transportation planning process. The CAC serves as a forum for citizens and citizen groups to bring issues directly related to transportation or air quality to the attention of the TPO and its staff.
CAC members are appointed from the six Citizen Planning Advisory Committees (CPACs) for the City of Jacksonville; by the Clay, Nassau and St. Johns Boards of County Commissioners; and from local neighborhood groups, the business community and other advocacy groups, such as environmental interests.
You don’t need a deep knowledge of transportation, just an interest in public service and willingness to learn. We ask that interested citizens attend at least one-two meetings to understand the process.
CAC meetings are held in person monthly the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. except in January and August at the North Florida TPO, 980 N. Jefferson Street, Jacksonville, FL. Please check out our meeting calendar for specific dates. Visit our website to learn more about the CAC.
