From Interns to Award-Winning Chefs: Our Youth Chefs Impress at Culinary Competition

Young chefs in our Lunch Box workforce development program attended the North County African American Women's Association’s annual fundraiser, The Gentlemen’s Gourmet. This event features male chefs competing in a “Chopped Style” competition to raise funds for women's scholarships. Our own Jorge Funez and Danilo Hernandez Garcia participated in the event. Jorge earned second place overall and first place for best appetizer with his Mango Ceviche. Both Jorge and Danilo impressed with their culinary skills and professionalism. They plan to return next year to support this worthy cause. Learn more about The Lunch Box program here.

San Diego Foundation Grant

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received a grant from the Oceanside Community Foundation for our "Because You Matter" program. This grant will support much-needed mental health services for youth in our community, ensuring they have access to care, support, and resources when they need it most.

Boys and Girls Foundation Grant

A huge thank you to the Boys and Girls Foundation for their generous donation of 40 STEM kits to support our youth programming at Oceanside Clubhouse! We're incredibly grateful for this partnership and the impact it will have on our youth.
