On Sunday, February 14th, the Traditional Worship Team is planning a special 8:45 a.m. service celebrating love and St.Valentine. Come learn about the history of St. Valentine. Come hear the choir sing "What Wondrous Love." Come see the children participate in a "heartfelt" activity.
To further honor St. Valentine's example, and remember all of God's "little cupids," we are asking people to bring children's diapers and wipes donations. You're invited!
Don't Forget to Bring Baby Diapers & Wipes to Church This Sunday!
Soup's On For Lent!
A new and meaningful way to prepare for the joyous season of Easter.
Join us for the five Wednesdays in Lent when we will meet in Fellowship Hall to enjoy Christian fellowship with one another by sharing a meal, some thoughts on our Lenten journey and finally to work on a service project that will help people in need.
These Lenten Services have been organized by the Celebration Worship Team and the Soup Suppers will be prepared by different organizations within the church. Food service will begin at 6:30 p.m. A video will be shown shortly after, followed by music and/or a short message. The evening will conclude with everyone joining in on the service project.

Fifty-Six Children Will Be Fed For One Year!
Last Saturday, Mike Ford of the Men's Ministry and 18 people from the ELC community made their way out to Schaumburg to assemble food packets at the "Feed My Starving Children" facility for children in impoverished countries around the world.
In the space of 2 hours, they (and other volunteers from around the Chicago area) assembled enough packets to provide vital nutrition for 56 children for a year! A stop for pizza rounded out what turned out to be a very pleasant afternoon.
The Men's Ministry plans to schedule another trip to Feed My Starving Children in June or July. Stay tuned for more information so that you can take part.
Kumbaya Chess-Ed will be sponsoring a "school's out" Kumbaya Workshop for children on President's Day at ELC, February 15. The workshop will feature top-notch instruction and valuable playing time for children.
