Winter Sports Recap
Meet Chris Wingard,
Board of Directors
Board member Chris Wingard is a teacher at heart. Born in Maine and raised in upstate New York, Chris earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She taught in a variety of schools and locations, even internationally at a Department of Defense School in Iceland, before homeschooling her children for eight years. Since then, she has managed a farm business, ran a house flipping business with her brother, along with teaching a women’s Sunday School group at her church.
Chris is married to Daren, a Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician, and they have three children: twins Katie and Josh (Class of 2017 graduates) and Nate (4th grade). The Wingards learned about StoneBridge after receiving an invitation to Christian Heritage Day, where they were impressed with the Biblical worldview, emphasis on primary documents, and involvement of parents, students, and teachers. The Wingard family resides in Windsor, where they raise goats and alpacas.

Chris’s goal as Board member is to “assist the Board and administration as the school looks to the future and God’s plans for it regarding facilities and enrollment… [and] help keep our focus on the SBS mission, vision, and quality as we grow and transition.” Her vision for StoneBridge is for our students to “live what they learn – not just have the head knowledge, but to live in a manner that shows their love for Christ.”

Senior Trip Fundraiser
The Class of 2019 is selling a t-shirt to benefit the Senior Trip! The shirt was designed by the seniors and all proceeds will benefit their European adventure. Shirts are only $20 and are available to order until March 20!
Spring Clubs
StoneBridge is looking for parents and grandparents who are interested in sharing their unique talents and gifts to lead, facilitate, or coach one of our after school clubs. Each club is offered once a week (Monday-Thursday) for six weeks, beginning the week of April 8. Clubs are a great way to come alongside students to build confidence, encourage creativity, foster teamwork, and give each student the opportunity to cultivate a new discipline or build upon an existing one.

Examples of club enrichment may include, but are not limited to: chess, STEM, archery, Gaga ball, flag football, jump rope, book club, science, community service, music, and math.

If you are interested in leading a club, please respond by March 8 to Angela Riley by email.
Box Tops Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. Gainor's first grade class and Mrs. Sweet's mentoring group for collecting the most Box Tops in the second quarter! Overall, students collected $167.60 worth of Box Tops in the last nine weeks. Please continue to save Box Tops and send them in with your children! Just a reminder - please cut them out on the dotted lines and make sure they aren't expired. Thank you to everyone who has helped SBS earn money through the Box Tops program!
