Beauty & the Beast, Jr.
Presented by Starbound Theatre
|
Be Our Guest as Disney's classic story Beauty and the Beast comes to Vacaville. This "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costumes and sets. Be transported to the heart of provincial life in a lovely French town. When Maurice becomes lost in the woods on the way to the fair, he seeks shelter in an old castle, but the master of the castle is a horrible beast that takes him captive. Maurice's daughter, Belle, must then give up her freedom to save his life. Belle's taming of the unfortunate Beast and his ultimate transformation back into a handsome prince is a beloved fairy tale about very different people finding strength in one another and learning about love.

In seven years, Christmas in My HomeTown, has gone from it's debut to a truly wonderful holiday tradition. The variety show is fashioned after the holiday specials of TV's early days, where stars were joined by their family in a home setting. We are trying to re-create what we remember of the old Andy Williams Christmas Shows, that feeling of being invited into their home for a holiday gathering. This year joining Ron George on stage is Emily Cribb, The Honeybee Trio, Will C. Wood High School English Handbell Choir, Johnathan Burton, Zach & Aaron George, Megan Hicks, Bryianna Taylor Brown and The Alamo School Choir.

United States Air Force Band of the Golden West
"The Commanders" Jazz Ensemble
Holiday Concert
Presented by On Stage Vacaville
|
Kick off the holiday season with this much anticipated annual event. Under the direction of Senior Master Sergeant Rick Thorp, The Commanders carries on the American musical tradition of the great traveling big bands, yet offers a lot more than the big band sounds. This energetic group of highly-trained professional airmen-musicians plays everything from traditional jazz, cool, bop and swing to Broadway favorites, popular tunes, Latin rhythms, and patriotic music. The Commanders offers an entertaining show you won't soon forget! During a concert you're likely to hear the music of jazz legends Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Count Basie and Charlie Parker as well as contemporary big band leaders and composers such as Gordon Goodwin and Maria Schneider. And no concert would be complete without a tribute to the late Major Glenn Miller and his famous Army Air Corp band. Featuring outstanding soloists as well as a superb vocalist, The Commanders is an ensemble capable of delivering a powerful musical performance.
This event is FREE but tickets are required. Tickets will be made available to the public at the Box Office on Saturday, November 10th at 10:00am. Current On Stage Vacaville members may request their tickets in advance by calling or visiting the Box Office.
