This week's highlights include the 6th Annual Community Dog Show at the Stockbridge Library, Music Mondays featuring the Lucky 5 at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Moth Night at Chesterwood, and Voices of Democracy: Imagining America: The Next 250 at The Red Lion Inn. Enjoy jazz with the Branford Marsalis Quartet at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, the opening of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune at Shakespeare & Company, and the return of Australia's Circa Contemporary Circus with Wolf at Jacob's Pillow. Add performances at Berkshire Theatre Group, concerts, museum exhibitions, garden tours, family activities, and more, and you'll find countless ways to experience the arts, history, music, and natural beauty of Stockbridge and the Berkshires this week.
PERFORMING ARTS
Lovesong continues at the Unicorn Theatre in #StockbridgeMA through August 29. Written by Abi Morgan, this tender and quietly powerful play follows a marriage across decades, revealing how love evolves, deepens, and endures over time. As younger and older versions of a couple share the stage, past and present intertwine to create a moving portrait of a life lived together. Exploring themes of love, aging, identity, and the choices that shape us, Lovesong is an intimate and heartfelt meditation on devotion, resilience, and the enduring bonds that connect us.
Jacob’s Pillow — Festival Week 5 | July 22-26 (Becket)
Festival Week 5 at Jacob's Pillow brings an exciting lineup of internationally acclaimed dance and performance. Australia's Circa Contemporary Circus returns for the first time in seven years with Wolf, a thrilling, high-energy acrobatic production in the Ted Shawn Theatre, July 22 - 26.
The outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage features a diverse lineup of performances, including Kalindá's Zafra: A Tribute to Afro-Puerto Rican Heritage, Ogemdi Ude's dynamic MAJOR, inspired by HBCU majorette traditions, and Benjamin Akio Kimitch's Tiger Hands, blending Chinese dance with personal storytelling.
On July 25, acclaimed choreographer Liz Lerman joins editor Suzanna Tamminen for a PillowTalk discussing Lerman's new book, Shape and Momentum: An Insomniac's Guide for a World in Constant Motion.

July 24 | 8 p.m. - Branford Marsalis Quartet Saxophonist Branford Marsalis is one of the most influential and revered figures in contemporary music. The NEA Jazz Master, Grammy Award winner, and Tony and Emmy Award nominee is equally at home performing concertos with symphony orchestras and sitting in with members of the Grateful Dead, but the core of his musical universe remains the Branford Marsalis Quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics.

The Red Lion Inn – Voices of Democracy: Imagining America: The Next 250 Celebrate America's past, present, and future at Voices of Democracy: Imagining America: The Next 250 on Wednesday, July 29 at The Red Lion Inn. Conceived and directed by Robert H. Egan with musical direction by Johnny Irion, this inspiring evening brings together visionary artists, activists, educators, and musicians for a moving program of songs, storytelling, poetry, and conversation exploring the hopes, dreams, and challenges of America's next 250 years.
The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with festive food, refreshing drinks, and classic summer hospitality, followed by the performance from 6:30–8 p.m.
Shakespeare & Company (Lenox) Opening on July 30 and running through August 23 Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune - Terrence McNally's beloved romantic drama, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, comes to Shakespeare & Company in a tender and deeply human production directed by Nicole Ricciardi. Set over the course of one unforgettable night, the play follows Frankie, a guarded waitress, and Johnny, an optimistic short-order cook, as a first date turns into an intimate conversation about love, loneliness, vulnerability, and second chances. Blending humor with heartfelt emotion and underscored by Debussy's "Clair de lune," this moving story explores the courage it takes to open your heart after life's disappointments. Honest, funny, and quietly profound, the play is a touching reminder that love can arrive when it's least expected. Content advisory: This production contains moments of sexual intimacy and brief nudity. While Twelfth Night, by William Shakespeare and Circus & The Bard: A Tempest Tossed continue through July 26.
Tanglewood Music Festival Summer continues at Tanglewood with another outstanding week of performances by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, internationally acclaimed soloists, chamber ensembles, and popular artists.

A celebration of nature and community continues throughout the week.
Naumkeag Garden Party Saturday, July 25, 2026 | 3:30 p.m.
Celebrate summer at Naumkeag's annual Garden Party, an elegant afternoon set amid one of the Berkshires' most beautiful historic estates.
Guests are invited to stroll the spectacular gardens, explore the rare Gilded Age "cottage," and enjoy seasonal cocktails, gourmet bites, and live music in a picturesque setting. Proceeds from this special event support the ongoing stewardship, preservation, and educational programming at Naumkeag and The Trustees' Berkshire region properties.

July 26 | 5 p.m. Free A Very Large Poem Experience the energy and wild creativity of a multitude of poets collaborating to perform A Very Large Poem. Created by stitching together numerous short poems by poets ranging in age and style, A Very Large Poem will travel in an arc around the audience. This event will take place in The Mount’s Event Tent, rain or shine.

FAMILY FUN AND COMMUNITY
Stockbridge Library Museum & Archives
July 25 | 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. 6th Annual Community Dog Show Bring your favorite pup to the Stockbridge Library for a tail-wagging day of family fun! The 6th Annual Community Dog Show features a dog-themed StoryWalk in the garden, children's crafts, free ice cream, and goodies from local dog-loving businesses.
Watch pups strut the red carpet and compete for fun prizes in categories including Eyes That Make Your Heart Melt, Most Likely to Make a Stranger Stop and Pet, Best Trick, and Happiest Dog With the Biggest Tail Wag. Red carpet participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their category start time in order to fill out an entry ticket. Giveaway winners will be announced immediately after their category ends.
Dogs must be leashed at all times, be comfortable around people and other dogs, and remain outside the library. Owners are asked to clean up after their pets. It's a fun-filled community event for dog lovers of all ages.
