American Chestnut Land Trust – South Side Trail

Oct. 1 | 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Grab a friend and enjoy a morning of biking, paddling and running through the trails for the famous triathlon.

Celebrate the Patuxent River by enjoying activities including music, food, makers of home spun goods, a petting zoo, boat rides, toy boat building, pony rides and much more!

Workshop using traditional cooking techniques to recreate recipes from the 18th and 19th centuries, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Kids ages 4-10 can learn about the Miocene fossils that come from the Calvert Cliffs and practice excavating real fossils from matrix!

A family-friendly Halloween festival with treats, fun and games, music and much more!

Oct. 28 | 7-9 p.m.

Bring the whole family on a drive through the park to enjoy various Halloween displays.

Bring your friends or make new ones creating outrageous Jack-O-Lanterns or pumpkin-inspired artwork! Cash bar, snacks and lively music to add to the creative fun.

Enjoy an evening of spooky local tall tales and historical stories along a lantern-lit walk of the park.
