Annmarie After Hours: Family-Friendly Fairy Night! Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center April 1 | 5-7 p.m. An outdoor opening of our Fairies in the Garden exhibit featuring more than 75 fairy houses.

Maryland Osprey Nature Festival Drum Point Club April 2 | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take a walk around the wildlife nature activity stations. There will be live entertainment, food, vendors and much more.

Genealogy Classes Calvert County Historical Society – Linden House April 8, 15, 22 and 28 10 a.m. to noon A genealogical and family research class at the Linden House.

Discovery Archaeology Day Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum April 9 | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Discover the excitement of exploration through hands-on activities, exhibits, displays and more.

Donuts with the Easter Bunny Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad & Fire Department April 9 | 8-11 a.m. A morning of donuts, crafts and raffles with the Easter bunny.

Easter Egg Hunt Hallowing Point Park April 10 | 1-3 p.m. A fun-filled afternoon full of activities, including the annual Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter bunny.

Winter Lecture Series: Camp Theodore Roosevelt Boy Scout Camp Calvert Library April 13 | 6:30-7:30 p.m. Lecture series sponsored by Bayside History Museum.

Fossil Egg Hunt Calvert Marine Museum April 16 | 10 a.m. to noon Look for eggs with real fossils inside, hidden throughout the museum.

Southern Maryland Celtic Festival Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum April 23 | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Join more than 50 clans and societies as they celebrate through music, food, dance and competitions.

ACLT’s Earth Day 5K Trail Run/Hike American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT) April 23 | 9 a.m. to noon Celebrate Earth Day by running or hiking the beautiful trails of ACLT while enjoying the spring weather.

Earth Day-Themed Guided Family Hike American Chestnut Land Trust April 24 | 10 a.m. to noon Bring a picnic lunch on our guided hike for the whole family.

Fairy & Gnome Home Festival Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center April 24 | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spend a magical afternoon in the garden and engage in a variety of imaginative activities.

April Artisans Sip & Shop No Thyme to Cook April 24 | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spend the afternoon enjoying food and drinks while shopping from local artisans.

Maritime Performance Series: Bob Zentz Calvert Marine Museum April 29 | 6-9 p.m. An evening of musical entertainment with a wide range of traditional music.

Fossil Field Experience Cove Point Lighthouse April 30 | 9 a.m. to noon Come and explore the fossils at the Cove Point Lighthouse.

April is Maryland Archaeology Month Calvert County has a rich, diverse archaeological heritage spanning 12,000 years of human habitation. Archaeological sites and artifacts are non-renewable cultural resources worthy of protection and conservation. Many dedicated, professional archaeologists and individuals give generously of their talents and their time to protect, study and interpret the remains for the benefit of all Calvert County citizens. Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum has educational programs and events throughout the year to give you a greater appreciation for the land and the people who once lived here.
