April is Maryland Archaeology Month

Calvert County has a rich, diverse archaeological heritage spanning 12,000 years of human habitation. Archaeological sites and artifacts are non-renewable cultural resources worthy of protection and conservation. Many dedicated, professional archaeologists
and individuals give generously of their talents and their time to protect, study and interpret the remains for the benefit of all Calvert County citizens.

Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum has educational programs and events throughout the year to give you a greater appreciation for the land and the people who once lived here. This April, stop by to explore this historical treasure!
