It's spring, and all the color just beginning to bloom inspires us to make the most of warmer, longer days. This April, the A&E District offers an invigorating line dancing class, the tradition of the Bel Air Kite Festival, and a class to help creatives market their artistic endeavors. Spring has arrived in the Bel Air A&E District, and the opportunities to get inspired are limitless!

Disco Sistas / Brothas & Company Line Dancing

If you are ready to get moving after being cooped up indoors this winter, come to the Bel Air Armory for a high-energy night of urban line dancing with Disco Sistas / Brothas & Company.


Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a beginner, this class will have you dancing your way to fitness while having a blast with friends or making new ones on the dance floor. Dance to your favorite hits while learning fun, easy-to-follow routines that will leave you smiling long after the music stops. It's all about boosting confidence and letting your inner dancer shine!


Class will be held on Tuesday, April 14, from 7 to 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.


Tickets are $10 per person with pre-registration required. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Bel Air Kite Festival

On Saturday, April 11, the annual spring tradition of the Bel Air Kite Festival returns to the Rockfield Park Ball Fields from 10 am to 4 pm. Come and be dazzled by the skyline filled with kites of all colors while enjoying festive music and delicious food truck offerings, too. Free kites will be provided while supplies last, and we guarantee a full supply of fun for the whole family all day long. Attendance is FREE for this much-loved Town event!


And what if it should rain? No worries! The Town is ready to go with a rain date on Sunday, April 12.

The Business of Art: Crafting a Business Plan

for Artists

Register now for The Business of Art: Marketing Essentials for Artists. This 60-minute session with Cindy Cisneros of Creatively, LLC is designed to help artists learn to market their work effectively and authentically. You'll learn marketing strategy basics, how to identify and reach your ideal audience, and more. If you’re dreaming of transforming your passion into a thriving, sustainable art business, this session will help you map out a clear and confident path forward.


Class will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 11 am to noon in the Community Room of the Bel Air Town Hall, 39 N. Hickory Avenue in Bel Air.


Admission is FREE, but pre-registration is required. Space is limited, so sign up today!

April brings a breath of fresh spring air and a fun calendar of events for the entire family. The Bel Air Farmers' Market returns on April 11. Visit "The Celebration of the Arts: Brush Strokes and Bright Futures" featuring artwork from HCPS students in PreK through 12th grade on April 12. Sign up for creative Drop-In Workshops at The Gallery of Harford Artists or enjoy a variety of events celebrating America250 at the Historical Society of Harford County. And don't miss a new five-week session of Fly Dance Fitness and a six-week session of Spring Dance Lessons with classes with Level 2 West Coast Swing and Salsa/Bachata classes.


Finally, don't forget to take a walk downtown to enjoy the beauty of the Public Art Tour and its companion, the Historic Walking Tour, featuring scenic 45-minute and 60-minute walks, showcasing beautifully preserved residences and buildings, each with its own unique story.
