Fourth and D.C. Circuit Moot Court Event

The Education Committee of the Fourth and DC Circuits hosts a 2025 American College of Bankruptcy Moot Court on Monday, February 17, 2025.  (Please find more information here.)

The event is co-sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute. The moot will be held at the Prettyman Courthouse, 333 Constitution Avenue N.W., Washington D.C., 20001. 

The day promises to be a great opportunity for the talented law students who compete, as they gain experience and get valuable feedback from the judges who will serve as moot court judges. We will host teams from Brooklyn, Campbell, Howard, Maryland (sending two teams) and Temple law schools.

2025 International Bankruptcy Course

January 14, 2025

For many years, the College has sponsored a semester-long class on international bankruptcy. The class is offered annually during the spring semester at many law schools. The lecturers include some of the leading international insolvency academics, practitioners, and judges in the world, many of whom are College Fellows.

For the 2025 semester, the College is pleased to announce that it is once again offering all Fellows and their firms the opportunity to audit all, or any portion, of the course, with a deep discount for firms who sponsor the College through the Patrons and Sponsors program. The classes are presented live (via Zoom) on 13 consecutive Tuesday nights starting January 14, 2025, from 6:40 pm ET to 8:20 pm ET. For those who are unable to attend live, recordings of each session are posted within 48 hours of the class. Extensive reference materials are also posted for each class. Class 36 Induction Ceremony & Educational Program

March 20-22, 2025

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the American College of Bankruptcy Class 36 Induction Ceremony and Events to be held at the Grand Hyatt Washington on March 20-22, 2025.

The Induction Ceremony on Friday, March 21, 2025, will be held at the Smithsonian Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture Museum, where the 2025 Distinguished Service Award will also be presented to R. Patrick Vance.

International Insolvency Institute's 2025 North American Regional Conference

January 15-16, 2025

The USA/Canada/Caribbean Regional Committee is pleased to present the 2025 North American Regional Conference on January 15-16, 2025, at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, IL.
