Come hear the nuts and bolts of her project, from inspiration, to permission from state senators, to plant selection, and maintenance up to now. For anyone who cares about the land that's left in the wake of development: We hope this lecture inspires you to be the change.

Build a Bird House
Sunday, April 21st
1.30 - 3:00pm
$25.- to cover materials
Spring is in the air and the birds are singing. Our winged friends are looking for spaces to build their nests and you can help them!
The Kula team has been perfecting their own bird house design for this workshop. You will still get to decide yourself which birds you would prefer to attract, by deciding the entry opening size.
Birds are great to have around, they’ll help suppress pests in your garden and will entertain you with their beautiful songs.
Minors should be accompanied by and adult.
| |
The bird house is cut out from a single wood board, that will be precut in the right sizes for you. All further necessary tools and materials to assemble the house will be provided.
You can build it all by yourself, or better, bring a friend to help you! Four hands will make it easier than two. We will also be there to assist.

Kula For Kids
Build a Dam & Learn About Water
Sunday, April 28th
1.30 - 3:00pm
Ages 4 - 8yrs. $7.50
Can you protect the animals by building a dam?
Kids love playing with sand and water, it can be very therapeutic but mostly just fun! They'll get sticks, leaves and stones to build a real dam to protect toy animals from a land slide. Meanwhile, they'll learn about sedimentation and erosion.
The Kula Kids will also get to make a dirty water potion that Mr. Matt then will try to clean with filters and evaporation.

We had another great turnout for our annual seed swap. If you missed it, you can always stop by on Fridays between 11-3 and see what we have on hand to share. | A big thank you to Kim Bradle and Leslie Feingold for leading the Salve Workshop. We had such a great turnout. We plan to make this an annual event.
Kim from Radiant Angel Candle Co. in Asbury Park was such a joy to have. She brought her own self made candles.
Take a look at some of the amazing candles she has to offer!
|
Charles Luckey from Chuck's African Ways introduced us to sea moss. We learned about the health benefits, how to clean and prepare and store it.
And of course everyone got to take some home.

|
The College Achieve students visited several times. One day they learned about erosion and sedimentation, as well as, evaporation and filtration. In another class they learned about birds and wood working.
A new group of students has arrived. They learned about hydroponics and started working on a science experiment. To keep their brilliant minds fueled we made delicious & nutritious salads.
We Welcome you on Fridays! 11am-4pm
It is a busy time of year! In the garden we are amending beds, seeding cool weather crops, pruning fruit trees and dividing out perennial herbs and native plants. In the greenhouse we are seeding warm season crops and greens for sale to the public and free distribution.
Everything we have that makes our gardens so special we have available to the public in the form of seed, starts, cuttings, transplants and divisions. If you're a gardener or just getting started, we welcome you to stop by on Fridays between 11am-4pm to talk gardening and to see what we have available.
Gardening is a constant process of caring for and working with a living changing matrix. It is never too late to start a garden and we are here to encourage you to dig in!
Pictured on the right are two wonderful Friday customers in the Spring and Summer.

Order greens online by Wednesday night for Friday pickup at the farm.
We harvest our greens weekly every Thursday!
Locally grown fresh greens last for weeks and are more nutritious and delicious than store bought greens..
You don't have to order 20 pounds of greens at a time like Cardinal does (Grace pictured on left).
| |
Our products are highly seasonal, we’ll be adding new products to our online store on a weekly basis.
Thank you for supporting your local grower!
