Kick off National Poetry Month with us for an afternoon of celebrating poetry and plants alike. In partnership with Project Write Now, this free community event kicks off with a writing workshop. Attendees are encouraged to experience the Farm and the plants surrounding them in the greenhouse and spend some time writing based on this inspiration. Immediately following is an open mic, during which everyone has an opportunity to share what they wrote and/or a previously written piece. Any sort of ode to plants is a bonus! There will also be some live music and an herbal tea offering

The Power of Native Plant Gardening

Saturday, April 22, 10:00 - 11:00am

Register for free

Come out and celebrate Earth Day and learn about the incredible value of gardening with native plants with our friend Jason Goldman. Jason, of Flower To The People, will teach you all about the wonderful world of native plant gardening.

By learning principles of both ecology and gardening, you will gain an understanding of how native plant landscapes benefit both humans and wildlife alike. Remember; no matter what conditions you have at home, there's a native plant for every space.

This workshop series is to learn about the upcoming cannabis industry in New Jersey. Participants will be offered help on how to start their own business and offered an opportunity to tie it into a larger network of local businesses.

This time we'll process cannabis into dry sift hash using a machine. We'll follow this by using a new method to manufacture cannabis infused gummies.

March Highlights

We had a great time helping people plan for spring planting.

We're so fortunate to have the greenhouse, we've started many plants.

Same scene different year. We had a great time hosting the Seed Swap for all our guests and gardeners. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made the event the success it was.

Roseanne, Vivian and Rocco perform at the Kirtan event. It was a beautiful day!

We had a lovely visit from the garden club at FSSK in Jackson. We love meeting other gardeners and showing them around the farm and gardens.

Kathleen Kerwin from Rutgers’ Wildlife Conservation and Management Program gave a very fun and informative "All about Bats" talk.

We then put together the bat houses with the end results shown below.

We all hope we'll get some visitors this Spring.
