Upcoming FCC 477 Filings
The FCC has recently announced that the data from 2020 Census must be used when filling reports for the 7/1/21 – 12/31/21 report period and beyond. If your company conducts business outside of the United States, this notice does not apply to your company.
Presently BillMax utilizes data from the 2010 Census as required by the FCC. In order to file the FCC 477 report for the dates mentioned above, your company will either need to upgrade to the latest release or install scripts that will enable the 2020 Census usage.
In either case, a script will be run that will re-populate the Census blocks held in BillMax and BillMax will be configured to use the 2020 Census when retrieving Census blocks going forward.
Details and availability of the download aren’t yet complete. In the meantime, do not file the FCC 477 report until your BillMax instance is upgraded. If you have any reports outstanding (for 1/1/21 – 6/30/21 or older), you must file those reports before BillMax is upgraded for the 2020 Census.
