In preparation for the holiday season, the Office of Human Resources would like to remind the campus community about the upcoming holiday schedule and provide information about next year’s holiday calendar. In an effort to support University employees in taking time off to enjoy the upcoming holiday season, Idaho State University will be closed as of Monday, December 26, 2022, and remain closed through Monday, January 2, 2023.
Employees who would prefer to work during a holiday closure should coordinate with their management team. Managers are encouraged to exercise flexibility and discretion in approving work during the closure as appropriate to their operations.
With the exception of safety and time-sensitive activities or services, all administrative offices and departments will be closed for business during the holiday closure. Vice Presidents, deans, and department heads have the flexibility to determine staffing plans for units that provide essential services during the closure. Management teams may also authorize employees in non-safety or time sensitive functions to work where appropriate. Time reporting should clearly note who was required/authorized to work during the closure, and when vacation or compensatory time was taken. Further time-entry instructions will be sent in the coming weeks.
